The Band Toto Asia
Toto was expanding its production facilities abroad and doing business in France, Germany, Indonesia, Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, and the People's Republic of China. The company considered North America as a growth market for Washlet bidets and toilets, in contrast to its "base" markets of Japan and China.
Dhaniram Toto recorded Toto words so that the next generation could be able to read them. However, many words were replaced with foreign ones, such as dui, which is Bengali for verandah.
Origins
The company was founded in 1917 and its early years were a mirror of Japan's economic growth. In the first half, Toto manufactured products to meet the demands for modern, brand new urban housing. It had the first tunnel kiln in the nation to continuously produce ceramics. It also pioneered automation for production control, which helps to increase efficiency and consistency.
In the late 1980s the company began to expand outwards to profit from sales and new markets. It established the Cera Trading Company, importing and marketing other manufacturers' products to complement its own lines of plumbing fittings and sanitary earthenware. This strategy helped increase sales and expand the company's market share in the world.
In the 1990s Toto began focusing on research and development of water-related appliances. It also redesigned its system of distribution to better serve its customers and improve profit. The company adopted a just-in-time approach to managing its supply chain and applied the same method for its sales process. This resulted in a greater degree of customer satisfaction.
Toto has continued to innovate with regard to toilet technology. The latest toilet from the company features an environmentally friendly, powerful tornado flush. Toto also makes use of recycled water in its production process and has a green procurement policy. In addition to toilets Toto manufactures bathtubs and faucets, as well as hand dryers that are more energy efficient than typical models.
The company's first museum opened in the year 2015 and features exhibits on Toto's most iconic products and their development and its group companies (all having to do with ceramics) as well as the history of plumbing and other products such as bath units and, in a different gallery, Toto products sold around the world. The museum even has a bathroom that includes a WASHLET toilet and other toilet-related innovations.
Before forming Toto members of the group performed sessions for a variety of musicians. Keyboardist David Paich, drummer Jeff Porcaro, and guitarists Mike Porcaro and Steve Lukather all played on the album Silk Degrees by Boz Scaggs. They also played on records by Steely Dan, Seals and Crofts, and Sonny and Cher.
Discography
You would expect a group with a name such as Asia to be a prog rock group however it's actually a relatively straightforward rock outfit. The band began as four members and released two albums that were self-titled in 1979 and 1980's Armed to the Teeth. But even though the band have a diverse musical background, their biggest success came in 1982 with Toto IV.
The album was a massive blockbuster, but it was not without its problems. The record companies put the band under pressure to release a hit single or they would drop the album. Luckily for Toto they did and they did it with the aid of the smash single "Africa."
Toto's musical mastery is a result of their prior experience. Before forming the group, the band members were session musicians for artists like Boz Scaggs. Steely Dan and Seals and Crofts. Their distinctive sound has become the standard of '80s music, influencing many contemporary artists.
The album opens up hard with tracks like Running Out of Time or Unknown Soldier that show the band's ability to write great AOR tunes that slowly creep into your head. The album also includes some jazzier, slower tracks like The Little Things and Chinatown. The album ends with Great Expectations. This song blends folk and distortion AOR that could seem like a complete blunder, but works extremely well.

After Toto IV The band's fortunes took a turn towards the negative. David Hungate left the band to focus on his solo career, and the band had several drummers. In 1984, Bobby Kimball was fired from the band in the aftermath of drug-related charges. However, the band continued as a trio, which included Michael Porcaro and Steve Lukather.
Toto released Isolation despite the turmoil. It was not as popular as IV. The band was able to release a chart-topping album, Kingdom of Desire, in 1992. The album was the last of Toto's lineup and the debut of Simon Phillips, a new singer.

Drummer Bobby Kimball's increased proficiency was evident in the vocal delivery of Joseph Williams, who had grown more confident and mature. David Paich's keyboard work was also more sophisticated, sharper and less akin to previous recordings.
After touring to promote their album, the group recorded an Amsterdam live show which was released on Eagle Records as a 2-CD set titled Falling In Between. A new studio album followed just a few months later and the group went on a world-wide tour in support of it. During this time keyboardist Greg Phillinganes filled in for Paich and bassist David Hungate left the group to spend more time with his family.
In 1998, Paich and Lukather started searching through old demo tapes and tapes to make a new record featuring songs that had never been recorded before. 토토사이트 추천 was completed in 2001 and released as a double album titled Then and Now. It was the first album in the history of the band not to include one single track with the word "A" in the title, and it also contained one previously unreleased track, "Kari-Anne".
By 2003, Toto had begun to decline in popularity. The fourth album, Old Is New, was a commercial failure, and vocalist Williams was suffering from a severe laryngitis condition which limited his singing capabilities. Hungate also returned to Nashville and Leland Sklar's drumming duties were replaced by Shem Von Schroeck.
Downes, Wetton Palmer and Howe, the founding members of Asia were in England early in 2006 to discuss the possibility that the band could be revived. The lineup, with the exception of Howe who was busy with Yes during that period, was later renamed Toto XIV. They toured extensively.
In 2010, the band reunited for another reunion tour with a slightly different line-up, including guitarists Mike Porcaro and Steve Lukather, drummer John Pierce, bassist Shannon Forrest, and multi-instrumentalists Warren Ham and Dominique Taplin.
